BOOK PRESENTATION 'FLX'
06.10.2009
FLX will be a gem, a real beauty, a true collector's item. It will be presented in Aalst, on 8 October 2009.
FLX will be a very special book, with a special format, centred around Felix Van Groeningen's three feature films so far: his debute Steve+Sky, the stunning With friends like these (Dagen zonder lief) and The Misfortunates (De helaasheid der dingen). The latter will be nationally released during the Ghent Film Festival.FLX is a must-have book. A real collector's item. The wonderful imagery distilled from Van Groeningen's films has been captured in 250 stills, which stands for: stylish & stilistic. A silent, poetic book speaking louder than words. Every one who loves film, or photography, or the writings of Erik Stockman (Humo film journalist), or every one who wants a unique insight in Van Groeningen+crew's insides, motivations, ambitions and methods: you know what to do. Get this book, page through it with care, caress it, smell it, read it. Admire it. Put it somewhere where every one can see it, so they can do the same. FLX will be presented on 8 October 2009 at the Aalst City Hall. At 6.30PM the presentation of the book will take place, right after which the film will be shown to a limited audience (the venue is, alas, already complete) but no worries: the big party that follows on the Grote Markt of Aalst will probably be the event of the year!
